KENDO and IAIDO AGES 10 AND UP, WITH CRAIG CAMPBELL, SHIHAN 7th DAN BLACKBELT
Kendo is based on the ancient Japanese are of swordfighting (Wikipedia). Tactics are practiced with bamboo swords, called "Shinai", in the dojo, rather than the super-sharp "katana" of fuedal Japan. In Kendo people also compete in national and international competitions.
Iaido is related to Kendo, and is the art of drawing the sword from the scabbard, dispatching your opponents, wiping their blood from your weapon, and returning it to the scabbard, all in perfect, graceful motion.
Kendo and Iaido at the Martial Arts Alliance are both fun and excellent exercise!
